My name is Ted, I've been lurking here a couple months now and figured I'd finally post an introduction.
I've been shooting DSLR for a little over six months now, the bug bit my when I decided to pick up a 30D and a 28-135 from a buddy of mine and I haven't looked back. I've since moved beyond my starter lens and have been working on collecting little red L's. I do mostly side/hobby stuff right now, but I wouldn't mind developing it into something bigger. I'm always looking to learn new stuff and develop my work more and more. Here's a handful of stuff I've shot over the past months, be gentle with me, I'm still pretty fresh. Welcome to the site...I am also a fellow dog lover myself.
One thing I noticed and to take note of is on your last photo with the long exposure. I see you used an ISO of 1000. No need to use an ISO that high if you don't need to and with long exposures...that's the beauty of it...you just use the low ISO and extend the shutter speed exposure to compensate. It's on a tripod so why not...and the images come out cleaner as well. Again welcome to the forum...look forward to seeing you progress!

As for that particular shot, I was on vacation and had tied one on severely that evening. At some point I decided to go stand out on the deck and take some shots, so who knows what I was thinking when I did it. ![]()
