Oceanfront and then to Cape Henry Lighthouses on Fort Story which is about 10 minutes away from the oceanfront, just tell the guards at the gate you are there to see the light houses, they will inspect your car real quick and then you can go on the base, you can also walk over to the water front and there is a memorial there too. next to fort story is a park too, where you could walk,.

botanical gardens and zoo are open year round. but if theres enough foilage and animals out is the question, haha. admission should be free!
